About Us

Michael Gentry Construction was started in 2004, when Michael departed the commercial construction industry to start a residential home building and remodeling company. His goal was to create a company that focused on high quality, energy efficient construction that maintains architectural appeal. In all projects, Michael takes his engineering background to make sure all projects meet the highest standards. Whether building a custom home, or remodeling an existing bathroom, attention to detail and the highest quality craftsmanship are applied. He will be respectful of your living spaces, your time and your hard-earned or easily inherited funds.

Michael holds a degree in Construction Engineering Management from OSU. He resides in Northeast Portland with his wife Brooke, son Benjamin, and his always present canine pal, Brutus.

After interviewing four contractors, we hired Michael Gentry to tackle the major remodel/rebuild of our home. The project encompassed everything from furnace ducts to a new kitchen. Every room in our home plus the garage and deck were improved. Our 1926 home held many secrets in its walls and Mike dealt with all of them. He came up with solutions that enhanced our original plans while staying within our budget. Mike’s knowledge of appropriate materials, input on design and great taste were invaluable.
